Jeanne Knight, JCTC
Career and Job Search Coach
As a Career and
Job Search Coach, my passion is helping people be successful in every
aspect of their career. If you are ready to make a career change, are in
the midst of a job search, are thinking about starting your own
business, or are ready to take your career to the next level, I’m here
and ready to help.

My coaching career started more than 20 years ago when I earned a BS in
Business Management from Northeastern University and entered the field of
Human Resources. For the next 20 years, I held HR leadership roles at such
pioneering companies as Lotus Development, 3Com Corporation and Data
General. Besides working in high technology, I also spent time in
healthcare and academia, and most recently, took part in the dot.com boom,
directing the HR function for an internet start-up and hiring more than
450 employees in less than 2 years!
Throughout my career I’ve coached hundreds of employees on their careers,
their leadership abilities, their resumes, their interviewing skills,
and the challenges they’ve faced both on and off the job. I’ve read
thousands of resumes and interviewed and hired literally hundreds of
employees. My greatest joy and most significant contributions have come
from the coaching and support I’ve given to people on their road to
success… whether it be during the hiring process, while they were
employed, as they were transitioning to new opportunities, or as they
were committed to achieving major goals in their careers and their
lives.
After 20 years in the corporate world, I decided to transform my own
career and pursue a long held dream of starting my own business.
Becoming a Career Coach was a natural progression from my years in Human
Resources – now, instead of helping corporations succeed, I’m able to
follow my true passion and do what I do best, which is help PEOPLE
succeed. Having an in-depth knowledge of the business world and a unique
“behind the scenes” perspective of the hiring process allows me to share
critical insights with clients not available to many. And because I have
personally enjoyed the hard work and excitement that go into
transforming my own career, I am now able to coach clients on their own
path to self-discovery and success.
To ensure my clients receive the best coaching possible, I currently hold
the following credentials:
Certified Job
and Career Transition Coach (JCTC)
Certified Career Management Coach (CCMC)
Certified to administer and interpret the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
Certified to administer and interpret the Strong Interest Inventory (SII)
In addition, I
am enrolled at the Graduate School of Coaching and maintain an active
membership in the following professional organizations:
Career Master’s Institute
International Coach Federation
International Association of Coaches
National Resume Writer’s Association
Career Counselor’s Consortium of New England

My resumes have been published in several books, including:
“Gallery of Best Resumes, Third Edition” by David Noble (2004)
“Expert Resumes For Health Care Professionals” by Wendy Enelow (2003)
“Gallery of Best Cover Letters, Second Edition” by David Noble (2004)
“Gallery
of Best Resumes for People Without 4-Year Degrees” by David Noble (2004)
“Expert
Resumes for Military-to-Civilian Transitions” by Wendy Enelow (2006)

I frequently speak
to area networking groups, teach classes in Effective Networking and
Resume Preparation for Lexington Community Education, volunteer as a Resume Critiquer at the “Women
For Hire” job fairs, and am an expert advisor for the Q&A feature of
QuintZine, an online newsletter for job seekers distributed by
quintcareers.com.
